I am the Baker's Wife

Yum!

Last night I arrived home from work to find another tasty treat courtesy of the baking prowess of Mr. Scooby. This time he made a pan of delicious Blondies. Good thing I was on the eliptical trainer for 45 minutes today, yeah?

The braces still don't suck. (If you were wondering).

I've had braces since April, and it's really been minimally painful. I'm not sayiing that there isn't a certain period after each adjustment when I feel a disinclination to bite and chew, but no headaches or mouthaches, just localized tenderness. It wasn't terribly comfortable to have my Transpalatal Arch (my 'bit') put in place, but even that took only a couple minutes during a regular appointment, and only hurt because they tried one that was too big first, and it poked my hard palate. It's amazing how easily teeth move around. See for yourself:

Lower arch sometime around June.

Lower arch currently.

My bit.

My April smile.

My Smile at present.

Mariposa Libre

Madilly sent over some insanely darling pictures of Dilly in her Halloween costume. I thought you might enjoy them.

Mama Megglesworth

Mama Megglesworth with Bella and Flip, whose worlds are about to be rocked.

Mrs. Megglesworth will almost certainly schwup me if she sees this pixel-y swimmy cell phone photograph that I have posted of her, but I just couldn't help it. She is so burstingly, delightfully pregnant that she simply had to be documented. We stopped over today to survey the progress that the Megglesworths have made on their house projects as parentdom and a sure lack of free time looms large. (Actually, Scooby was there for quite awhile yesterday helping build their new two car garage, but since I was at work, I missed out.) In any case, everything seems to be moving along, and thank goodness, since their bambino could arrive at any time. I can't wait!

Any time is a Good time for Pie

I got home from school tonight and found that Scooby had baked me a pie! Furthermore, when I say that he baked me a pie, I don't mean that he bought a frozen pastry and popped in into the oven. No, this was a culinary masterpiece with a scratch crust and filling made from two different kinds of (not "pie filling") canned organic cherries. It was delicious. I am a lucky, lucky woman.
